Yen Bai province launches Youth Month

YBO - The Standing Board of the Yen Bai provincial Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) has launched the Youth Month with a ceremony held at the Lung Lo Pass national historical relic site in Da Village of Thuong Bang La commune, Van Chan district. It also launched an emulation movement and construction of the youth’s facilities in celebration of the coming all-level HCYU congresses for 2022 - 2027.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy, who is also head of the National Assembly deputies’ delegation of Yen Bai, other provincial leaders, and officials from the HCYU Central Committee attended the ceremony.

All-level HCYU congresses will take in place in 2022 to prepare for the 12th National HCYU Congress for the 2022 - 2027 tenure. This is a major political event of young people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai, and also an occasion for HCYU units to reinforce themselves.

Praising the active contributions by all-level HCYU units and the local youth, Secretary Duy asked the units to press on with education and training so as to develop Yen Bai youth into a young generation of hospitality, humanism, solidarity, creativity, and integration who actively dedicate to local development.

He asked the HCYU units to make substantive reforms to help young people tap into their potential and strengths, build detailed programmes and plans to ensure effectiveness, educate the young on patriotism and national pride, while creating a good environment for them to make self-improvement and experience, and engage in voluntary activities.

Besides, they should also create favourable conditions for young people to start careers and accelerate digital transformation, Duy stressed, adding that the young should take the lead in this regard so as to fuel actions in the entire society.

On this occasion, the HCYU Bloc of Central Agencies presented over 1.25 billion VND (54,700 USD) in financial aid to help Yen Bai build structures and carry out programmes. HCYU units and businesses in the province also donated 2.73 billion VND to support the construction of the youth’s facilities.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan personally presented support and gifts to workers facing hardships across Yen Bai Province.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
