Nearly 1,200 Yen Bai youngsters join army

YBO - For this year, 1,190 youngsters in Yen Bai have enlisted to serve in the armed forces, of whom 950 have been recruited by the military and 240 by the police. The province has seen 100 youngsters volunteer to join the army.

Do Duc Duy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the Yen Bai delegation of deputies to the 15th National Assembly presents flowers to encourage the recruits before their departure.

Military units at district, township and city levels of Yen Bai have coordinated closely with localities across the province to raise the awareness of local residents, especially youngsters, on their rights, obligations and citizen responsibility as stated in the Law on Military Service, while conducting COVID-19 tests for all the recruits.

Leaders of the province attended a send-off ceremony and encouraged the recruits before their departure, while extending best wishes to them and expressing their hope that they will uphold the revolutionary tradition of the homeland and their families to do their best during their studying and training work, and strictly observe military discipline, thus showing strong performance in implementing their assignments.
