Yen Bai leaders extend Tet wishes to policy beneficiaries

YBO - On the occasion of the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – 2022) and the upcoming Lunar New Year, leaders of Yen Bai province visited and extended Tet wishes to local policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households.

The leaders expressed their gratitude to the families’ contributions and sacrifice in the national struggle for liberation and unification. They called on poor and disadvantaged families to surmount difficulties and uphold family tradition, thus contributing to the socio-economic development in the locality.

They asked units on duty during the traditional Tet festival to stand ready when problems arise and ensure safety for citizens, as well as adhere to COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.

According to tradition, the Hmong community’s traditional Tet typically takes place one month before the Lunar New Year. This period marks the end of the harvest season, allowing everyone to rest after a year of hard work. Nowadays, most Hmong people celebrate the Lunar New Year alongside the rest of the nation.
