Yen Bai administration encourages localities, agencies to aim for higher targets

YBO - Following the fourth session of the 19th Yen Bai provincial People’s Council, the provincial People’s Committee has held a meeting to discuss the implementation of this session’s resolutions on the 2022 socio-economic development, public investment, and State budget collection.

These resolutions detailed the 19 targets set in the resolution of the 19th provincial Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 tenure. The targets include 14 ones on economic issues, 12 on social and cultural affairs, and six others related to the environment.

For next year, the provincial People’s Council aims at 4.6 trillion VND (nearly 199.7 million USD) in the State budget revenue and over 11.93 trillion VND in the local budget collection. Meanwhile, the local budget is set to spend more than 12.01 trillion VND.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan asked departments, sectors, and localities to work out concrete measures for implementing the resolutions. The district-level localities have to convene meetings of their People’s Councils and People’s Committees to farm out tasks before December 31.

In particular, he encouraged departments, sectors, and localities to aim for higher targets compared to the ones set by the provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan personally presented support and gifts to workers facing hardships across Yen Bai Province.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
