Yen Bai: Q1 Service Revenue Surpasses VND 8,450 Billion

YBO - In the first quarter of 2025, trade and service activities in Yen Bai province experienced vibrant growth, with tourism drawing a large number of visitors who contributed significantly to local consumption.

The total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the province reached VND 8,450.4 billion, marking a 21.32% increase compared to the same period last year. This strong start has significantly contributed to the province's economic growth and progress towards fulfilling its 2025 development targets.

Local production and business establishments maintained stable operations, with a diverse and abundant supply of goods in the market. Retail sales of goods accounted for approximately 80.41% of the total figure, increasing by 16.9% year-on-year; accommodation, food, and travel services represented 10.9%, with a notable 54.27% rise; while other services accounted for 8.69%, up by 32.12% compared to the same period last year.In particular, revenue from service activities in Q1 2025 was estimated at VND 733.8 billion, up 32.12%, while revenue from accommodation, food, and travel services was estimated at VND 921.8 billion, up 54.27% over the same period. 

Meanwhile, wholesale turnover in Yen Bai during the first three months was estimated at VND 6,109.4 billion, a 17.41% increase compared to last year. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the province rose by 3.2% year-on-year and by 2.28% compared to the previous quarter.

These positive outcomes stem from the effective implementation of market stabilization programs at all levels, along with initiatives to connect local distributors with suppliers across different regions to ensure supply-demand balance and maintain market stability.

Additionally, the province has continued to create favorable conditions and proactively address production and business challenges for enterprises. This has supported trade, tourism, and service development while enhancing investment attraction in these sectors.

Notably, the province ranks among the 35 provinces and cities with disbursement rates higher than the national average.

Since 2021, Yen Bai Province has transitioned 39,289 workers from agriculture to non-agricultural sectors.

Over the five-year period from 2021 to 2025, Yen Bai Province has created jobs for 110,339 workers. Of these: 56,393 were employed through socio-economic development programs, 11,907 accessed loans from the National Employment Fund, 2,886 worked abroad under labor export programs, and 39,153 were supplied to out-of-province employers.
