Youth Month 2020 launched in Yen Bai province

YBO - The Youth Month 2020 was launched on March 1 in Minh Xuan commune, Luc Yen district, northern Yen Bai province, by the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Themed "Yen Bai youths voluntary and creative for the community”, the programme features activities and works that contribute to the building of new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas such as "Green Sunday”, social welfare activities, support of underprivileged children, and blood donation.

Activities promoting the youngsters’ creativity and supporting them to start business will be promoted.

On this occasion, local youths offered free face masks to local residents and disseminated measures to prevent the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

Residents of Khanh Thien commune participate in planting green fences in the courtyard of Tong Ang community house.

The "green fence" movement in Luc Yen commenced in 2018. Recognising the environmental impact and high costs associated with using materials such as concrete and bricks for fences, some public personnel suggested the adoption of greenery instead.
