More than 500 managers, scientists and businesspeople from Vietnam and France gathered at a business forum in Hanoi on April 15 as part of the 12th Vietnam-France decentralised cooperation conference.

France is the only country with which Vietnam shares a mechanism of periodic and rotating conferences on localities’ cooperation, affirmed Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung at the opening of the 12th Vietnam-France decentralised cooperation conference in the capital city on April 14.

Vietnam and France established diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level on April 12, 1973. The year 2023 marks many important events between the two countries celebrating 50 years of their diplomatic relations and 10 years of their Strategic Partnership. On this occasion, French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery granted an interview to Vietnam News Agency reporters.
