Yen Bai to have 88 communes meeting new-style countryside criteria

YBO - Yen Bai province expects to have 88 of the 150 communes recognised as new-style rural areas by the end of 2021.

After nearly 11 years of implementing the national target programme on new-style countryside building, 87 of the 150 communes in the province have been recognised as new-style rural areas. Ten of them have met advanced criteria and three been listed as model new-style rural areas.

Meanwhile, two of the nine district-level localities have completed the new-style countryside building and earned the Prime Minister’s recognition.

The completion of Son Luong - Sung Do - Nam Muoi inter-commune road makes it easier for people to trade goods and foster local socio-economic development.
