The funds for the incinerator come from the State budget with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment working as the investor.

It is the first to be constructed among 13 newly-invested incinerators under a project on strengthening solid waste management capacity in Yen Bai province for the 2020 – 2025 period with orientations to 2030. They include seven incinerators built with capital from the State budget and the six others financed by donors.

The incinerator plays an important role in solving the overload in landfills, preventing pollution and is the first step to improve the capacity of household solid waste treatment in general, contributing to the completion of the tasks set out in the project.

It is expected that the incinerator will be officially put into operation at the end of December.
