Yen Bai city builds houses for people with contribution to nation

YBO - In 2020, Yen Bai city built houses for 14 families of people who rendered services to the nation at the cost of 470 million VND (nearly 20,500 USD) mobilised from social sources.

The construction of houses was carried out in a transparent, open and equitable manner which prevented losses and ensured the beneficiaries’ living conditions.

Between 2016 and 2020, Yen Bai built houses for 263 beneficiaries. In 2020 alone, the city built 15 new houses and repaired 12 others at a budget of 840 million VND, under a project on housing support for people who contributed to the revolution and the poor approved by Decision No. 806/QD-UBND dated on April 24, 2020 by the provincial People’s Committee. 

In the coming time, the city strives to raise the living standard of the contributors to the average level in the locality or higher.

It is also stepping up communications and the implementation of policies on preferential treatment for people who rendered service to the country, address bottlenecks in the process. 

Local authorities will devise preferential policies to help the revolutionary contributors and their families access jobs and fundamental social services.
