Pham Minh Chinh re-elected as Prime Minister for 2021-2026

Pham Minh Chinh was elected as Prime Minister of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 tenure on July 26 during the first session of the 15th National Assembly in Hanoi.

 Pham Minh Chinh was elected as Prime Minister of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 tenure on July 26 during the first session of the 15th National Assembly in Hanoi.

A resolution on the election was endorsed by all 479 deputies present, or 95.99 percent of total lawmakers. The document takes effect right after it was approved by the legislature.

Pham Minh Chinh, born on December 10, 1958, is a member of the Party Central Committee in the 11th, 12th and 13th tenures, a Politburo member in the 12th and 13th tenures and a National Assembly deputy in the 14th and 15th tenure. He has served as Prime Minister since April this year.

Notably, the province ranks among the 35 provinces and cities with disbursement rates higher than the national average.

Since 2021, Yen Bai Province has transitioned 39,289 workers from agriculture to non-agricultural sectors.

Over the five-year period from 2021 to 2025, Yen Bai Province has created jobs for 110,339 workers. Of these: 56,393 were employed through socio-economic development programs, 11,907 accessed loans from the National Employment Fund, 2,886 worked abroad under labor export programs, and 39,153 were supplied to out-of-province employers.
