Yen Bai province issues plan to implement UKVFTA

YBO - The People’s Committee of northern Yen Bai province has issued Plan No.137/KH-UBND on the implementation of the UK - Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) in the locality.

The plan is expected to effectively deliver on terms in the UKFTA and raise public awareness about the deal.

The province will also enhance coordination among agencies, units and localities in the implementation of the deal, laying a ground for them to build a plan to realise the deal in a way that suits their reality.

Key measures include disseminating information about the deal, building laws and institutions, improving competitiveness capacity and developing human resources, performing social welfare policies, protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development.

Under the plan, departments, agencies and organisations concerned were required to specify measures within their authority to implement the deal.
