At the ceremony, the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee called on agencies, units, enterprises and localities as well as local residents to actively respond to the call on entire society's solidarity in COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.

Under the active, drastic and timely leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee and People’s Council as well as the engagement of the whole political system and the consensus and responsibility of local residents from all walks of life, Yen Bai has so far seen no locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases.

However, the pandemic is developing complicatedly and unexpectedly, while the infrastructure and medical equipment and State budget for COVID-19 prevention and control have stayed modest, the joining hands of entire society is crucial.

Earlier on May28, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Yen Bai called on the entire people to join hands in the fight against COVID-19.
