Traditional culture exploring contest launched for Yen Bai's children

YBO - Yen Bai on May 27 launched a contest for local children to explore traditional culture identities of ethnic groups in the province.

The contest targets primary and secondary students in the province with two competition formats of multiple choice and performing on the stage.

Contestants choosing the multiple choice format will answer questions related to the traditional costumes, cuisine, daily activities, traditional practices of local ethnic groups, and write an essay introducing the cultural identity of local ethnic group with a limitation of 1,000 words. Their essays will be posted to the Facebook fanpage at "Doi TNTP Ho Chi Minh Tinh Yen Bai”.

The implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures is ensured.

The organising board has accepted entries from May 25 to June 25.

Meanwhile, each team performing on the stage will comprise four members to compete in three rounds of introduction, traditional costume performance and presentation on the culture of a local ethnic group.

The performing format of the contest will start in August at the provincial museum.
