Yen Bai province targets to increase happiness index to 57.3 percent

YBO - The Party Committee of Yen Bai province is striving to increase the local people’s happiness index to 57.3 percent this year, up 4 percent from 2020.

Under the committee’s Plan No.30/KH-TU, competent authorities will work to improve locals’ satisfaction with economic - material conditions, spending on food, clothes and study, means of transport, housing, schools’ facilities, quality of medical examinations, social insurance and health insurance policies, management responsibility in administrative reform, and life expectancy, among others.

The provincial Party Committee has ordered all-level party committees, administrations, competent sectors, fatherland fronts, and socio-political organisations to raise public awareness of targets, missions and measures to better locals’ happiness. Besides, they were urged to improve their role and promote the whole political system’s strength in raising the happiness index.

Communication work must be carried out in different forms, helping locals understand the significance of happiness index improvement.

Under the resolution adopted at the 19th provincial Party Congress, Yen Bai sets a goal of rising the happiness index by 15 percent by 2025.
