Yen Bai responds to Vietnam Book Day 2021

YBO - The People’s Committee of Yen Bai on April 15 launched activities in response to the eight Vietnam Book Day 2021 (April 21) on April 15 in the province’s museum.

Over the years, thanks to such activities, local department, agencies, social organisations and residents’ awareness of reading movement have been improved. Schools have paid greater attention to reading activities, while students have received better access to printed and electronic books. Therefore, the reading movement in the society has been maintained.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh asked the Department of Information and Communications, the People’s Committee of districts, townships and city as well as local agencies and units to continue maintaining activities in response to Vietnam Book Day, thus developing the reading culture and creating favourable conditions for locals to access books, spreading the value of books and promoting the reading culture in the society, heading to a learning society.


The provincial Department of Education and Training, and Studying Encouragement Association present awards to winners of the "Writing to thank book-led steps” contest.

He also requested organisations and businesses to continue to provide books, school equipment, and learning and testing software to schools, thus helping students to optimise e-library and ebooks in schools.

At the ceremony, software for online learning and electronic library were introduced, along with a digital exhibition themed "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam – historical and legal evidence”.
