Yen Bai honours 57 collectives for outstanding fulfillment of 2020 tasks

YBO - The People’s Committee of Yen Bai has awarded 57 collectives of agencies, units and localities and 66 individuals in recognition of their outstanding performance to fulfill tasks and goals assigned to them under the province’s Action Programme 190 and State budget collection in 2020.

According to Yen Bai’s Action Programme 190, a total of 705 tasks and goals were assigned to 56 agencies and units in 2020, 696 of which had been completed as of December 31.

Despite adverse impacts of COVID-19, the province has continued to make progress in socio-economic development thanks to the adoption of innovative ways of working last year. It has fulfilled and surpassed 32 socio-economic goals, including many challenging ones.

Yen Bai has accomplished the twin goals of maintaining positive economic growth and effectively containing the COVID-19. The local economy expanded 5.41 percent, making it the fourth best performer among the 14 provinces in the northern midlands and mountainous region.

The agro-forestry-fisheries sector grew by 4.62 percent, the highest rate in the region.

The province has also led the Northwestern region in new-style rural building. State budget collection exceeded 3.59 trillion VND, 9 percent higher than its yearly plan./.

As part of the implementation of the 2021–2025 National Target Programs (NTPs), Tran Yen District has disbursed over VND 70 billion as of the end of March 2025. Of this amount, nearly VND 56 billion came from the central government budget, while more than VND 13.5 billion was sourced from the local budget.
