The logistics companies are operating in various categories such as international freight forwarding, warehousing, third-party logistics, fourth-party logistics, freight transportation, port operation, express, last mile delivery, and others.

The list of leading logistics companies includes Gemadept, Indo Tran, DHL Vietnam, Transimex, Expeditors Vietnam, Schenker Vietnam, Kuehne+Nagel, Bee Logistics, Vinafreight, and others.

The rankings have been developed based on three main criteria, including financial capacity, media credibility, and the surveys of logistic companies conducted in October and November 2020.

Director General of Vietnam Report Vu Dang Vinh said that after decades of globalisation, the world is being connected more than ever. This connection has opened great opportunities for global trade and promote the development of supply chain in a higher scale and integration level.

However, a sudden shock like the COVID-19 pandemic has created a shock wave across the world, revealing fundamental problems of the supply chain and the logistics sector in particular, the backbone of the supply chain.

Thus, to better prepare for future shocks, enterprises should identify the specific problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to their operations in order to develop the best response to similar issues and prepare a suitable strategy to effectively manage risks in the future, Vinh noted.
