The project has a 1.47-million-cu.m reservoir in Tram Tau district, exploiting the hydropower potential of Nam Tang stream’s section spanning from the downstream of Nam Tang 3 hydropower plant to the upper stream of Mai Phon irrigation dam to generate power to the national power network.

It will provide about 90 million kWh of power to the region and the national power grid each year, easing the shortage for the power system and contributing more than 20 billion to the local budget collection.

At the same time, the project aims to promote the water resources, improving the ecosystem, creating landscape for tourism, and forming water surface serving aquatic farming.
