Yen Bai promptly implementing Resolution of 19th provincial Party Congress

YBO - The 19th Party Congress of Yen Bai province for the 2020-2025 tenure, with the participation of 235 outstanding delegates representing the over 57,600 Party members of the local Party organisation, took place from September 22 to 24 and arrived at success.

The congress approved important documents with 19 basic criteria and specified five development orientations, three strategic breakthroughs and seven focal tasks, requesting fast and sustainable development in the three pillars of economy, society and environment towards green, harmonious and happy development.

Accordingly, the Party organisation will strive to turn Yen Bai into a fairly developed province by 2025 and among the most developed ones in the northern midland and mountainous region by 2030.

The congress elected the 19th-tenure provincial Party Committee with 48 members.

In their first meeting, the 19th-tenure provincial Party Committee elected its standing board. Vice Secretary of the 18th-tenure provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Do Duc Duy was elected Secretary of the 19th-tenure Party Committee of Yen Bai province, and Ta Van Long and Tran Huy Tuan vice secretaries.

The dissemination and implementation of the congress’s resolution are being carried out seriously, substantively and effectively in local Party units, apart from popularising the congress’s outcomes among local residents, aiming to inspire local cadres, Party members and people’s aspirations for development and capitalising on the strength of the whole political system and the great national unity bloc to soon realise the targets for the next five years set in the resolution.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
