Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh visits welfare beneficiaries in Yen Bai

YBO - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), on August 19, Party Central Committee member and Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Thi Thanh Tra visited and presented gifts to welfare beneficiaries in Yen Bai city.

The leaders visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Lo in Van Lien village in Van Phu commune, who had two sons killed during the war; and Le Quang Nghiep, a veteran revolutionary in Dong Tam commune.

Vice President Thinh wished Mother Lo and Nghiep good health and a peaceful life with their families. She hoped that the veteran revolutionary will continue to be an example for his children.

Thinh asked local Party Committees, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) committees and organisations to care for people who rendered services to the revolution and their families, while educating young people on the nation’s revolutionary and patriotic traditions, thus encouraging them to build the homeland and develop the country.

Earlier, the Vice President offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial House commemorating the leader in Hong Ha district of Yen Bai city. She also visited the tomb of Nguyen Thai Hoc and patriotic fighters who were killed during the Yen Bai Uprising in 1930.
