Yen Bai issues plan on promoting ASEAN in 2021-2025 period

YBO - The People's Committee of Yen Bai province has just issued Plan 212 on communication work to promote ASEAN in the province for 2021 - 2025.

The content focuses on ASEAN's activities on all three pillars including: politics - security, economy, culture – society, Vietnam's contributions to building the ASEAN Community and strengthening the bloc's position; and ASEAN cooperation in response to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The main form of communication work will be the mass media, while new media forms will also be used along with events and information provision activities.

The communication drive aims to help officials and people alike to understand more about the ASEAN Community, create consensus, trust and support among people and improve people's sense of "Community Thinking, Community Action", thus promoting their role in the integration process and helping them benefit from integration.

At the same time, local authority is putting efforts in promoting the local image, contributing to building an ASEAN Community of peace, friendship, cooperation and development./.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
