Accordingly, the province will focus on communications to raise public awareness of cultural diplomacy; step up the introduction of local ethnic groups’ cultural identities to partners and domestic and foreign visitors via cultural programmes, events and festivals; and develop cultural products.

The provincial People’s Committee requested external cultural activities be carried out in an active, effective and economical manner that suits the local situation.

It noted that cultural diplomacy must be closely associated with politics and external economic activities. It must serve as the spiritual foundation for helping to enhance solidarity, friendship and cooperation with international friends, and maintain a peaceful and stable environment for local socio-economic development.

The administration also asked sectors, authorities at all levels, units and people in the province to bring into play their activeness, creativity and coordination to effectively implement the plan on external cultural activities for 2020.
