Yen Bai aims to have 70 percent of communes, wards and townships maintain at least one form of communication activities on prostitution prevention

YBO - The provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 269 on prostitution prevention and combat in the province in the 2022 – 2025 period on December 13.

Accordingly, the provincial People's Committee requires at least 70 percent of communes, wards and townships to regularly maintain at least one form of communication activities on prostitution prevention; information on prostitution prevention and control to be published on the provincial mass media at least once a month; at least 70 percent of workers in service establishments prone to prostitution and at least 60 percent of workers in industrial parks to be equipped with information and knowledge on this issue; and 100 percent of districts, towns and city to build plans and integrate the task of prostitution prevention and control into local socio-economic development programmes.

Attention will be paid to improving the effectiveness of communications, dissemination and education on prostitution prevention and control; intensifying prostitution prevention activities through the integration of relevant local programmes at grassroots level; and strengthening inspection and examination to promptly detect and handle violations of laws related to prostitution prevention and combat.
