Tran Yen: 22 startup initiatives create stable jobs for ethnic young people

YBO - A capacity-building programme for social organisations and ethnic youth engaging in start-up and socio-economic decision making activities has been carried out across nine communes in Tran Yen district since 2020, reaping fruitful outcomes.

Accordingly, the startup support programme for ethnic youth in the communes of Y Can, Quy Mong, Kien Thanh, Hung Thinh, Hung Khanh, Hong Ca, Hoa Cuong, Tan Dong, and Dao Thinh, has benefited 130 people. They have changed their mindset about starting businesses and career, contributing to the local socio-economic growth.

A total of 22 startup and social initiatives implemented by ethnic young people in cultivation, husbandry, services, and production were selected for assistance. They include projects on raising Trai Tre chicken by Giang A Be, rearing goats by Trieu Kim Hoan, and establishing a vermicelli production cooperative by Dinh Kieu Anh.

The projects have created stable jobs for young people in the localities, with monthly incomes ranging from 5-7 million VND (211.24-295.73 USD) per person.
