Among them, 11,027 people have been employed through socio-economic development programmes, 2,701 given loans from the National Fund for Employment, 284 sent to work abroad, and 8,334 working outside the province.

There have been 7,946 out of the 6,650 workers successfully transitioning from agriculture to non-agriculture sectors, equivalent to 119.5% of the plan. The main fields of transition include industrial production, construction, tourism, business, and sales. The rate of workers engaged in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries is 55.68%, down 2.13% from 2021, while that in industrial, construction, trade, and services sectors is 44.32%.

The above results have been achieved thanks to vocational education institutions strengthening their connection with businesses, increasing practical training and internships to improve vocational skills of learners, and improving the quality of training to meet the need of businesses and the labour market. As a result, effective partnership models have been established between vocational schools and businesses, such as the model of customised training based on business requirements (Yen Bai Vocational College, Nghia Lo Boarding Ethnic Vocational School), the model of internship combined with graduation exams at businesses linked to recruitment (Nghia Lo Boarding Ethnic Vocational School), and the model of internship combined with recruitment (various vocational and college-level schools in the province).

Businesses have collaborated in providing information on recruitment needs for vocational education institutions, offering remuneration to teachers and students during internships and practical training at businesses, and generating productivity in production and trade. They have also signed employment contracts with students after graduation.

Through the contracts between schools and businesses, thousands of students have been arranged for internships and employment opportunities both within and outside the province. Vocational and college-level schools throughout the province are committed to creating job opportunities for students after graduation through their enrollment advisory services.
