Yen Bai takes numerous measures to prevent coronavirus

YBO - Yen Bai province’s authorities have decided to cancel all festivals as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (nCoV), in accordance with Directive 06/CT-TTg by the Prime Minister and Official Dispatch 393/CD-BVHTTDL by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The provincial People’s Committee asked the People’s Committees of Yen Bai city, districts and townships, as well as provincial departments and sectors, to strictly implement relevant regulations on the prevention and control of the disease.

The culture, sports and tourism sector has also decided to stop a sport festival, while the Department of Health set up four fast-response teams to cope with the coronavirus epidemic.

All schools in the province have closed and permitted their students stay at home since February 4. The education and training sector also coordinated with the health sector to spray disinfectant at the schools.

Meanwhile, the local industry and trade sector has step up the inspection of the prevention and control of the disease at enterprises and industrial parks, especially supervising the isolation for Chinese experts and workers who returned to work in the province after the Lunar New Year festival.
