Yen Bai welcomes over 121,600 visitors during five-day holidays

YBO - The northern province of Yen Bai welcomed over 121,000 visitors during the five-day holidays from April 29 to May 3, an increase of 70.2% compared to that the same period last year.

Of the total visitors, there were over 5,000 foreigners. The province got a total revenue of 94 billion VND (over 4 million USD) from tourism during the period, up 54% over the same period in 2022.

During the holidays, tourists tended to choose to experience tourism, camping, exploring natural landscapes, community cultures, and local special cuisine.

Nghia Lo town is the locality received the highest number of tourists in the province with 31,500 arrivals, accounting for 26% of the province's visitors. Meanwhile, Mu Cang Chai district received 20,300, Tram Tau had over 15,500, and Yen Binh district had 11,850 visitors.

Popular tourist attractions in Tram Tau are Eo Gio Pine Hill, Cuong Hai Hot Mineral Resort, Lau Camping Phinh Ho, Ta Xua Mount, and Ta Chi Nhu. Visiting Mu Cang Chai, tourists can experience traditional craft villages, community-based tourism, paragliding festival, and experience the daily life of ethnic groups of Mong and Thai.

Tourists can also play water games and fishing contests on Thac Ba Lake and enjoy food in the Thac Ba Lake area, Yen Binh district. They can watch boat racing on the Dong Sung hydropower reservoir and visit Na Hau Nature Reserve and festivals associated with the cultural identity of the Dao ethnic group./.

In addition to pristine landscapes and attractive indigenous cultures, the western localities of the province have launched many new and attractive tourism products for the five-day national holiday of Hung Kings Commemoration Day, National Reunification and May Day.

Tram Tau district in Yen Bai province has made efforts in renewing its tourism products, making them more diverse, unique and environmentally friendly, thus turning itself into an attractive destination.
