Fifty-five collectives and 48 individuals in Yen Bai province have been honoured with emulation flags and certificates of merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), and the provincial Federation of Labour.

The results are attributable to instructions by the Federation of Labour to all-level trade unions, asking them to coordinate with employers to evaluate performance in ensuring workplace safety and hygiene in accordance with guidelines of the VGCL.

The effort has promoted emulation in building a green, clean, and beautiful working environment along with a workplace culture in agencies and businesses across the province, all of which have engaged in planting trees within their premises and regularly conducted on-site production monitoring.

In implementing Directive No. 45/CT-TTg, the project on planting one billion trees for the 2021-2025 period, and the campaign on provincial trade unions’ engagement in green growth for 2021-2025, the province has planted 17,604 new trees, with the participation of 16,740 trade union members, public servants, and labourers.

The campaign has harnessed the creativeness of public servants and labourers, resulting in the application of various solutions in production and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
