Volunteer programmes launched in Yen Bai

YBO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Committee of Yen Bai province has launched winter and spring volunteer programmes at a programme in Lang Thip commune of Van Yen district.

Over  the recent years, the programmes of this kind are regularly deployed by the committee, focusing on providing healthcare services for disadvantaged people, and supporting local children and farmers, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and new-style rural area building movement in the locality.

In the time to come, the organisation will continue to further strengthen volunteer activities; renovate its operation by applying technologies and promoting digital transformation; and multiply good models and practices in the volunteer work.

At the launching ceremony, it donated 15 tonnes of cement, while the Vietnam Youth Academy presented 25 million VND to a project to build a playground for Lang Thip commune children.

The youth social work centre presented gifts to locals and preschool children in the commune, and 20 scholarships to students with good performance in their study in the Lang Thip ethnic minority semi-boarding secondary school.
