This is a new technique with high precision. The flexible tube is easy to insert deep into bronchial branches, making it easier for finding lesions.

The hospital has introduced techniques of minimal pleural opening, tracheostomy recovery test, mechanical ventilation, and capillary blood glucose test. It also effectively uses modern equipment such as ultrasound machine, electrocardiogram recording machine, respiratory function meter, and blood and urine testing machine.

In the first nine months of 2022, the hospital examined and treated more than 220 TB patients; over 2,000 patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, and COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 patients.

Since April this year, the hospital has organised TB examination and screening in districts and towns in Yen Bai through the GenXpert test system, detecting 19 TB patients.

According to Doctor Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice Director of the hospital, the establishment continues to implement an intensive training strategy, especially skills in counseling, monitoring and supporting TB patients and health education communication; maximise the application of new techniques in diagnosis for early detection of tuberculosis, drug-resistant tuberculosis, and tuberculosis/HIV; and help ethnic minorities and poor people gain access to health services.

The hospital has coordinated with relevant sectors in the fight against tuberculosis, and mobilised resources and the involvement of the community to the work, aiming to ensure that all people at risk receive early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
