Yen Bai youth union reviews volunteer activities

YBO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's chapter in Yen Bai province has just reviewed its campaign on summer voluntary works and project on cultural preservation and tourism development.

As a result of the youth volunteer campaign this summer, the province saw 30 charity houses built, more than 140km of roads built and repaired, 58,744 new trees planted, and over 6,238 people receiving free medicines. Meanwhile, 1,720 summer gatherings and 108 free swimming training classes were organised for 1,080 children.

The project on Yen Bai youth joining hands for cultural preservation and tourism development, launched since 2017, has so far led to the debut of 32 cultural villages in all nine local districts, township, and city, where more than 500 young people participating in developing community-based tourism. A total of 225 youth volunteer groups were also set up for supporting the conservation and organisation of local festivals.

On the occasion, the provincial youth union honoured 35 orgnisations and 33 individuals with outstanding performances in the campaign and project.

Earlier, the union also held a session to review a series of activities launched at local schools and universities during the 2021-2022 academic year.

Outstanding young teachers and student were honoured at the reviewing session for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Recently in Hanoi, Vinacore International Consulting, Services and Trading joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the Employment Service Center under the Department of Home Affairs of Yen Bai Province, organized a departure ceremony for 14 workers from Yen Bai to work in Japan under a placement program managed by Yamazaki Vietnam Co., Ltd.

In 2025, Yen Bai Province is prioritizing the implementation of labour export consulting activities, vocational training in combination with foreign language education, and support programs aimed at facilitating overseas employment for local workers.
