Each year, the Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Office of the locality has built plans and training courses for officials in communes and wards on the protection of children and the prevention of accidents among children. Meanwhile, it has promoted the popularization of policies and legal regulations regarding children protection and care.

Currently, 120 children facing difficulties in the locality are enjoying monthly support. At the same time, various measures have been rolled out to ensure good health and nutrition for children. To date, 100% of children under 6 years old and thousands of others from poor families have been protected with health insurance.

As part of efforts to build a safe, healthy and friendly environment for the comprehensive development of children, so far, the majority of communes and wards across the township have successfully built models suitable for children.

Each year, local authorities have encouraged members of agencies, organisations and individuals to make donation to the Fund for Children Support. Every year, the fund receives 70-80 million VND from donors, which has been used to give free health check-ups and treatment for children and provide them with scholarships and gifts on special occasions.

Meanwhile, the locality has also paid great attention to equipping local children with knowledge and skills to protect themselves from sexual abuse, accidents and drowning. An action month for children has become an annual activity of Nghia Lo. Training courses have been organised for children to get better understanding of their rights, while favourable conditions have been created for children to join children forums, contests and community-based activities.

As a result, the number of children becoming victims of serious incidents and abuse in the locality has reduced through years, while the number of children accessing education services has increased through years, and public awareness of children protection has been enhanced.
