YBO - In the Luc Yen News fanpage, there recently posted an image featuring an announcement of Facebook account Dinh Tho in Lang Muong village, To Mau commune, Luc Yen district on the delay of his daughter’s wedding to implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

Just a short time after the image was posted on Facebook, it has attracted over 350 shares and a lot of comments, which mostly show support for the decision and hope that friends, relatives and the entire community to follow it.

In Yen Bai city, on August 8 (or the 19th day of the sixth lunar month), many weddings were delayed or only organised within family scale. Many restaurants also proactively contact with their consumers to postpone weddings.

The postponement of weddings amid complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic shows locals’ consciousness of protecting health of their families and the community, as well as their obedience of the provincial People’s Committee’s Document No.2339, which emphasises the suspension of organising crowded cultural, artistic and entertainment activities and events, and the postponement of weddings.
