After working in Bac Ninh province, Le Thi Hai, from Co Phuc town of Tran Yen district, now wants to find a stable job close to her home. Through an introduction of the Employment Service Centre, Hai learnt that Vina KNF International Co., Ltd. was recruiting workers in many positions with an average salary of 5-7 million VND per month. She is completing a job application to send to the company’s recruitment desk.

Hai is only one among thousands of Yen Bai labourers who need jobs after a long leave due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At present, companies and businesses also have demand for workers to ensure production in the new year, making up for the shortage of workers in the past time.

Even on the first days of the new lunar year, on the website of the provincial Employment Service Centre, there are often businesses inside and outside the province advertising job vacancies with focus on such fields as garment, wood, electronics, food and some commercial and service industries.

The job market in the province is quite vibrant, with more than 10 companies, factories and enterprises posting their recruitment plans such as: Vina KNF International Company Limited in Co Phuc town, Tran Yen district; European Wood Plastic joint Stock Company in the Southern Industrial Park of Yen Bai city; and Yen Bai Agro-Forestry Products joint Stock Company.

Currently, businesses need to recruit about 2,000 employees with positions like sales channel developer, cashier, receptionist, agricultural engineer, unskilled worker, and garment worker, with the initial salary from 4.5 to 7 million VND per month with welfare policies.

Companies need to recruit at least 300 employees, some even need 5,000 employees. They also offer salaries from 7 to 10 million VND depending on each position with attractive commitments.

In 2022, Yen Bai province strives to create jobs for 19,500 workers, provide vocational training for 18,000 people with the rate of trained labourers reaching 66 percent, and have 6,650 locals shift from the agricultural to non-agricultural sector.
