Yen Bai: 11.1 billion VND donated to COVID-19 fight

YBO - The Yen Bai provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on September 29 received 10 million VND donated to the COVID-19 combat by the “Heart to Heart” charity club of high schools in Yen Bai province.

The donation was contributed by philanthropists and also included the money gained from selling the club’s handmade mooncakes.

Earlier, the club had presented financial aid worth 300,000 VND each to 15 disadvantaged households affected by the pandemic in Yen Bai city and Yen Binh district.

The assistance demonstrated the high school students’ compassion and high sense of responsibility towards the community.

Statistics show that since the fund-raising campaign for the COVID-19 fight was launched, all-level VFF committees in the province have received donations of 11.1 billion VND.

In 2025, the province has set a target to create employment for 20,000 workers, with a trained labor rate reaching 70.2%.
