Yen Bai Accelerates the Development and Application of Biotechnology in Environmental Protection

YBO - With the aim of advancing the development and application of biotechnology in environmental protection linked to sustainable development in the province, the People's Committee of Yen Bai has issued a plan for implementing the project on the development of biotechnology industries in environmental protection until 2030.

Development and Application of Biotechnology, Production of High-Value Biotechnology Products in Agriculture.

Accordingly, Yen Bai will concentrate resources on investing in and applying biotechnology in environmental protection across areas such as waste treatment, production, and community life. The province will also enhance cooperation with domestic organizations, localities, and international partners, and create favorable conditions for businesses to invest and produce biotechnology products in the field of environmental protection, contributing to economic growth and the socio-economic development of Yen Bai.

The specific goal is to apply and develop biotechnology in environmental protection, with a focus on prioritizing biotechnology solutions and biological products for waste treatment in agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, and medical waste treatment. The plan also includes efforts to increase the number of industrial-scale businesses producing biological products for waste treatment by at least 10%, as well as establishing production lines for biological products in environmental protection industries. The province will focus on advancing science and technology to serve biotechnology industries for environmental protection, strengthen communications, and promote cooperation in research and application of biotechnology for environmental protection.

Leaders of Van Yen District held a meeting to deploy the site clearance process for the section of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong high-speed railway that passes through the district.

The proposed Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong high-speed railway will pass through seven communes of Van Yen District, including Xuan Ai, Yen Hop, An Thinh, Tan Hop, Dong An, Chau Que Ha, and Chau Que Thuong, covering a total distance of approximately 50 km.
