YBO - On January 31, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van Thong, who is also head of the delegation of 14th-tenure National Assembly deputies of Yen Bai, inspected the work to prevent and control the acute respiratory disease caused by coronavirus at the Yen Bai provincial general hospital.

Before, during and after the 2020 Lunar New Year festival, the hospital has assigned doctors and nurses to be on duty around the clock and prepared sufficient medical equipment and materials to ensure the timely provision of both emergency and regular treatment for patients. 
 
Regarding preventive and control measures for the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (nCoV), the hospital has put all necessary conditions and means in place, such as isolation ward and isolation rooms, transport means, and upgrading infection prevention level.

After the inspection, the Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee acknowledged the hospital’s good work during the Lunar New Year festival. 

He appreciated the hospital’s efforts and proactiveness in preparing plans in response to the acute respiratory disease caused by nCoV, and asked the hospital to keep a close watch on the disease’s development. 

The official also required the hospital to make detailed scenarios and corresponding response plans so as to make the best preparations for any situation.
