
In the four waves of COVID-19 infections, the awareness, sense of responsibility, and self-consciousness of each people are an important factor helping Yen Bai province succeed in combating the pandemic so far.

YBO - A project was carried out in Minh An and Binh Thuan communes of Van Chan district from October 2019 to July 2021 to improve cadres’ capacity and people’s awareness to facilitate access to support services for women and children affected by gender-based violence.

YBO - Yen Bai province is home to 1,347 Agent Orange/dioxin victims eligible for State allowances, including 735 ex-revolutionaries and their 612 children who were directly exposed to AO/dioxin. There are 26 cases in the third generation.

Sixty years have passed since the US army dropped tens of millions of extremely toxic chemicals on various areas across the south of Vietnam, but their devastating impact still lingers, destroying the environment and claiming the lives of many generations of Agent Orange (AO) victims.

YBO - The British Council coordinated with the Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted in Yen Bai province to organise the IELTS English language test from July 1 to 3. This was the first time an IELTS exam had been held in the city.

YBO - As many as 60 households in eight communal-level localities of Tram Tau district voluntarily asked for their removal from the list of poor ones in the first half of 2021, according to the district’s division for labour, invalids and social affairs.
