Youth Month 2020 launched in Yen Bai province

YBO - The Youth Month 2020 was launched on March 1 in Minh Xuan commune, Luc Yen district, northern Yen Bai province, by the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Themed "Yen Bai youths voluntary and creative for the community”, the programme features activities and works that contribute to the building of new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas such as "Green Sunday”, social welfare activities, support of underprivileged children, and blood donation.

Activities promoting the youngsters’ creativity and supporting them to start business will be promoted.

On this occasion, local youths offered free face masks to local residents and disseminated measures to prevent the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

Nghia Lo Ethnic Minority Boarding Vocational School is among the most reputable vocational training institutions in the province.

In 2025, the province has set a target to create employment for 20,000 workers, with a trained labor rate reaching 70.2%. Of this, the proportion of workers receiving training for three months or longer and obtaining certificates or diplomas is expected to reach 40.1%. Additionally, Yen Bai aims to recruit and train 18,000 new vocational trainees and transition 7,000 workers from agricultural to non-agricultural sectors.
