Yen Bai currently hosts 37 FDI projects

Yen Bai Province is home to 37 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of USD 420.7 million (approximately 10,109 billion VND) from investors originating from 11 countries and territories.

In 2024, Yen Bai approved three new FDI projects with a combined investment of 131.6 million USD (approximately 3,295 billion VND). Additionally, the province issued two notifications for investors from China and Japan to proceed with procedures for acquiring stakes in domestic enterprises.  

The total realized investment for 2024 is estimated at 150 million USD (approximately 1,757 billion VND), representing 230% of the planned target and 334% of the previous year's figure. 

FDI enterprises in the province achieved total revenue of 150 million USD (approximately 3,765 billion VND), meeting 100% of the plan and 135% of the previous year's performance. 

These enterprises contributed approximately 14 million USD (around 354 billion VND) to the local budget, a 106% increase from the same period last year. 
 
Over recent years, Yen Bai has actively developed and publicized a list of projects for investment promotion, effectively managing FDI in line with its delegated authority. The province has also intensified efforts to advertise investment incentives, local strengths, and the business environment. Activities promoting FDI have been organized in diverse and dynamic formats.  

Each year, Yen Bai develops plans to participate in the National Investment Promotion Program, reviews and updates its list of projects for investment encouragement, and simplifies administrative procedures related to investment certification. 

This proactive approach ensures an investor-friendly environment for foreign entities implementing projects in the province.
