Yen Bai: Over 7,400 jobs generated in four months

YBO - Yen Bai province created 7,463 jobs for local people in the first four months of the year, accounting for 38.3 percent of the annual plan, the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs said.

Of the total jobs, 4,082 were generated under the socio-economic development programme, and 538 thanks to the National Employment Fund. Meanwhile, the province sent 54 locals to work abroad, and 2,789 others to work in other localities.

As much as 13.9 billion VND (nearly 604,000 USD) in unemployment insurance was paid to 1,031 beneficiaries during January-April.

The province also spent 39 million VND to support vocational training for nine workers, while providing job consultation and placement for 1,020 people.
