YBO - The Yen Bai Farmers’ Union has launched the model club of farmers with successful production and business in Hung Thinh commune, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province.

The club comprises 20 members who are the union’s members and farmers aged over 18 in Hung Thinh and have won the title of excellent production and business households at grassroots level and above.

It provides a platform for farmers to exchange and learn from each other's experience; access new advanced techniques, technologies, and how-how; and establish links and support each other in business and production. It is expected to contribute to boosting local socio-economic development.

The launch aimed to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (October 14, 1930 – 2021).

Project staff from the “Improvement of Reproductive and Sexual Health for Adolescents” initiative conduct communication activities on adolescent reproductive health care in Mu Cang Chai district.

Recently, Yen Bai province has faced concerning reproductive health statistics, with the pregnancy rate among women aged 15-19 reaching 15.5% in Mu Cang Chai district and 9.6% in Van Chan district. Home births remain prevalent, with 63.1% occurring in Mu Cang Chai and 13.5% in Van Chan.
