Thanks to investment in medical infrastructure, equipment, and examination and treatment capacity, primary health care at the grassroots level has been improved considerably, thus easing overload at higher-level hospitals.

In the time ahead, Yen Bai province will keep its focus on improving the quality of medical services, attracting people to local health care stations, providing more funding for infrastructure building and equipment procurement for health care stations, and maintaining clinics’ qualification for the 10 national criteria on communal-level health care.
