Yen Bai has 45 projects and non-project aid initiatives

In 2024, Yen Bai province implemented 45 projects and non-project aid initiatives with a total committed funding value of $12,816,342 from various programs and projects.

In 2024, Yen Bai province implemented 45 projects and non-project aid initiatives, this includes 22 newly approved and accepted projects and non-project aid initiatives (an increase of three compared to the same period in 2023) and 23 ongoing projects. 

The approved programs and projects are being carried out according to planned timelines and commitments with donors. The total disbursed value of these 45 projects and non-project initiatives is estimated at $2,385,435, equivalent to 59% of the disbursed value for the same period in 2023.

The content of the programs and projects primarily focuses on activities that support impoverished and disadvantaged communes in Yen Bai province. These activities include improving living conditions, conducting capacity-building training for local officials and residents, enhancing disaster prevention and environmental protection capabilities, advancing information technology, upgrading school zone traffic safety, providing HIV/AIDS care and treatment, and supporting livelihoods. The projects primarily concentrate on sectors such as economic development, education and training, healthcare, and natural resources and environment.

Through the foreign non-governmental projects being implemented in Yen Bai, these initiatives contribute to helping beneficiaries in the project areas escape poverty, while promoting local economic and social development.

To showcase, promote, and connect the distribution of its signature products, Yen Bai Province has implemented various digital technology solutions in production and distribution processes. These efforts aim to improve the quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of local products while advertising and introducing agricultural products, OCOP items, and regional specialties on e-commerce platforms, contributing to the development of the province’s digital economy.

The province’s OCOP products are steadily gaining recognition among consumers both within and beyond its borders.

Yen Bai Province currently operates 20 points for the introduction and sale of OCOP (One Commune, One Product) items, showcasing 260 certified OCOP products rated three stars or higher. These sales points are distributed across most districts, towns, and cities in the province, with the highest concentration located in Yen Bai City, Van Yen District, and Nghia Lo Town.
