Yen Bai strives for 210 million USD in exports

YBO - Yen Bai province’s export turnover reached 16.99 million USD in January, up 1.58 percent against the previous month and 34.16 percent year-on-year.

Last year the province earned 170 million USD from exports. Its main exports were wood planks, cinnamon bark, cinnamon oil, votive paper, and stone slabs.

In 2020, the province is striving for 210 million USD in export value. 

To achieve the target, Yen Bai is focusing on implementing projects to develop production in combination with value chains, building trademarks and establishing intellectual property protection for key products and specialties. It has also launched a project to improve the quality and boost trade promotion of local agro-forestry products and seek sustainable markets for main local products.
