Trademarks granted to Tran Yen’s pomelo, green tea and dried cinnamon

YBO - The Yen Bai Department of Science and Technology and the People’s Committee of Tran Yen District co-hosted a conference to announce and hand over the certificates for trademark registration of the district’s pomelo, green tea and dried cinnamon.

The projects for registering three trademarks "Tran Yen Pomelo,” "Tran Yen Green Tea,” and "Tran Yen Dried Cinnamon” have been conducted by the provincial Department of Science and Technology and Hanoi’s Gia Lam Centre for Fruit and Vegetable Research since 2019.

The three trademarks have been verified and approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology’s National Office of Intellectual Property.

The trademark registration was followed by the grant of geographical indication of "Tran Yen Pomelo” to Quy Mong Commune’s fruit tree farming cooperative, "Tran Yen Green Tea” to Hung Khanh Commune’s Khe Nam Tea Cooperative, and "Tran Yen Dried Cinnamon” to Hoa Cuong Commune’s Khanh Thanh Cinnamon Cooperative.
