Yen Bai honours front officials for outstanding works in 2017-2022

YBO - The Yen Bai Fatherland Front Committee has just held a conference to honor outstanding heads of its working units for the period of 2017 – 2022. Participating were 50 delegates representing 1,356 heads from across the province.

In the period, the committee and its member organisations have overhauled their apparatus and operation, and worked to support and serve the people to create social agreement.

The local fronts at all levels have done well in supervision and social criticism. They have also organised emulation movements and campaigns to prevent child and consanguineous marriages, and illegal entry and exit; and to mobilise people from all walks of life to donate land, money and labour days to build public infrastructure in the locality.

As a result, over 4,450 charity houses were repaired, and nearly 3,150 self-governing groups at residential areas established.

On the occasion, the committee presented certificates of merit to the 50 participants.

The Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Association in Canada will provide financial support to enhance meal quality at Nghia Tam Primary School in Van Chan District, with a sponsorship of 200 million VND per school year over a period of five years (from the 2024-2025 school year to 2028-2029).

Deputy Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, Hoang Thi Thanh Binh, along with leaders from the Yen Bai Youth Union, presented flowers and gifts to the 30 child members of the Provincial Children’s Council.

On the afternoon of November 9, the Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Council organized the first simulated session of the Provincial Children's People's Council at the Provincial People's Council Hall. The session was held with the participation of 30 children who are members of the Provincial Children’s Council and 50 outstanding youth representatives.

On the evening of November 9th, at the 19/8 Square (Km5, Yen Bai City), the Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with Nhi Van Media Corporation, held the finals of the "The Charming Beauty - Graceful Yen Bai Youth" competition for 2024.
