Get-together honours Yen Bai female officials

YBO - The Party Committee of Yen Bai has held a meeting with female officials under the management of the committee’s Standing Board, on the occasion of the 92rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Huy Tuan talk to female leadership and management officials.

At the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Do Duc Duy extended greetings to those officials and spoke highly of their efforts, contributions and strong performance over the years.

He affirmed that with the growth of women across the country, those from all ethnic groups in Yen Bai and especially female leadership and management officials at all levels have promoted their good traditions, innovated themselves, striving to further rise up and making contributions to province’s renewal and development cause.

Accounting for over 49% of the province’s population, local women have increasingly engaged and affirmed their outstanding role in all aspects of the social life. The rate of women joining economic activities has also risen, while the percentage of skilled female labourers topping 65%. The province has created jobs for 43% of the female workers.

At the same time, the contingent of women taking leadership and management positions has developed strongly in both quantity and quality. Currently, women are accounting for 16.7% of the members Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, 29% at the People’s Council, and 50% of the total National Assembly deputies.

Touching upon female leadership and management officials on difficulties they are facing, Duy expressed his hope that they will continue to work hard to further rise, setting good examples at work and in daily life, becoming more steady and confident to make more contributions. They should promote their leading and pioneering role to inspire their sisters in the locality to develop together, he added.

Yen Bai hosts simulated session of the Children's Provincial People's Council for the first time

Deputy Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, Hoang Thi Thanh Binh, along with leaders from the Yen Bai Youth Union, presented flowers and gifts to the 30 child members of the Provincial Children’s Council.

On the afternoon of November 9, the Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Council organized the first simulated session of the Provincial Children's People's Council at the Provincial People's Council Hall. The session was held with the participation of 30 children who are members of the Provincial Children’s Council and 50 outstanding youth representatives.
