Vermicelli of Viet Hai Dang Cooperative in QuyMong commune, Tran Yen district, was recognised as a 3-star One Commune-One Product (OCOP) product in 2020.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a smartphone was useful for PhungThiTuyen, director of the cooperative, to introduce the cooperative’s products to consumers across the country.
Through Zalo, Facebook, or Viettel Post's Voso.vn e-commerce floor, QuyMong vermicelli reached more and more customers.

Tuyen said that after the pandemic, selling products on social networks or e-commerce platforms is still useful and effective. Her sales volume increases yearly. As Yen Bai provincial Party Committee issued Resolution 51 on digital transformation and the provincial People's Committee issued Plan 86 on supporting agricultural production households to introduce products on e-commerce platforms, the provincial Farmers' Association strengthened communications and supported farmers to sell products online.

Vice Chairman of the association Hoang Xuan Long said that the farmers' associations at all levels have actively coordinated with competent agencies to help households whose products meet VietGAP, and OCOP requirements to join e-commerce platforms first.

However, limited awareness and accessibility of digital transformation of households are causing difficulties.

Moreover, products are unable to compete in the online market due to limitations in quality, quantity, or designs.

People in disadvantaged remote areas have difficulties in access the Internet, digital devices, applications, and digital platforms.

Seeing opportunities and difficulties in implementing digital transformation and trading agricultural products online, the provincial Farmers' Association decided to promote communications to help improve farmers’ understanding of digital transformation.

The association also continues to coordinate with local departments and agencies to select qualified businesses, cooperatives, and households to start an online business. It also cooperated with the provincial Post Office, Viettel Post to create accounts for more than 42,000 households on e-commerce platforms like Postmart.vn and Voso.vn./.
